Today At The Write Mom ‘n’ Dotty

It’s Autumn and we’ve had a share of mostly gorgeous sunny days during the week.  Our front yard is looking neat since I groomed it on Tuesday. While attached to the soil and mulched ground, pulled weeds, pruned daisies, my thoughts were on the old rural country where we used to live. (Imagine, that was only about six months ago). Wide and hilly views I enjoyed easily from my gardens. Not necessarily stunningly well-groomed gardens back there.

I never had to worry about racket noises while my children played, screamed and chased each other– only the cockatoos, kangaroos and crows heard us. Trying to hush them because-neighbours-might-hear-us never occu… until our move to the suburbs.

Today, Saturday, it was rest. It wasn’t sunny. And not chilly either. The front yard is looking swell. I’m proud of my week’s work. The backyard? Meh. The strong men in the house haven’t seen the lawn mower for ages! And the grass is looking like our old days in the county where I really didn’t mind the deep knee-high weeds and grass on our 4-hectares land.

In the afternoon, Home Alone 3, Santa Clause 1 with Tim Allen and buttered popcorn made the day.

Is Hobbes From Calvin And Hobbes Only Calvin’s Imagination, Or Not?

Do you know Calvin And Hobbes? Calvin, an imaginative, creative boy with his cotton stuffed tiger Hobbes that comes alive to Calvin.

Everyday, when Calvin comes home from school, Hobbes always waits for him, and pounces on him as soon as he comes in. And then Calvin gets into trouble sometimes for being so dirty when he comes home. I don’t think Calvin would want to get into trouble, much less be pounced on by a tiger.

That’s why I think Hobbes is real, but only Calvin can see him. And I also think that Calvin’s ‘transmogriphiers’ and duplicates are real, too.

Altogether, Hobbes is a very playful, sometimes loveable tiger, smart, funny and a good friend.

Calvin And Hobbes is a very funny comic. I bet, you’d enjoy it! 🙂

So true. Keep going!

“One greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” – Thomas Edison

Don’t give up! You can do it! It’ll be hard work, diligence, and a lot of patience sometimes, but don’t worry, you’ll get there if you just believe in yourself, and persevere.

“Taking time to live life will only inspire your work.” – Unknown

Take time to look at the beautiful things around you. Live your life one step at a time, and don’t be too rushed. You might be so caught up in preparing for the future, you might forget you have the present to live.

Hey guys, just a little something I want to say: Smiling is good, but it’s also good to let in on a little sadness.

Smile, enjoy your life. Don’t be afraid to learn, listen, and make mistakes. 🙂 Take time as a kid, and enjoy it; I admit, sometimes I just want to grow up and get my own job. XD But neh… I’m happy where I’m at now.

Here is a question I want to ask you:  Do you believe there is good in everyone?

Penny, Jenny And Brucella

This is a story I did with my sister and brother in-law. We each wrote a bit of the story, covered our part when were done, leaving only the last line uncovered. So, the next person could only write according to what the last line said. LOL…

ME: It was a sunny day, no cloud in the sky. It was busy, and my best friend and I were having a good time at the fair. We were dizzy from the Ferris wheel we rode, so we decided to go on the…

PARTNER #1: Ferris wheel. “Let’s see how long the ride is!” said Penny. “Okay!” said Jenny, and they hopped onto the seat, and started timing with their watches. “One, two, three…” they chanted, until they reached the top of the ferris wheel, when they got scared of heights, and dropped their popcorn onto the ground far below, and hugged each other tight. “Let us down! Let us down!” they cried, and the Ferris wheel must have listened because they slowly made their way back down. Relieved, they hopped off and decided to eat…

ME: “How about some grilled potato on sticks?” Rachel, my friend asked. I ran up too where she was standing. Soon, we were sitting down happily. Suddenly, a scream came from over the play grounds. I looked up. Rachel wiped her mouth and jumped up. The Ferris wheel had loosened, and was rolling slowly towards a art stand! What would happen then??

PARTNER #1: Well what happened then was they hopped in the car, and decided to go for a random drive to Melbourne. All the way there, they sang silly songs, and laughed till they cried. “This is the best random drive ever!!” exclaimed Penny. “I agree!” said Jenny. Then they stopped by the petrol station near Watergardens and they bought Ferrorochers and a packet of ranch corn chips. “Yum!!” they said, and stuffed themselves with the junk food till they were full. Soon they got tired, and so they…

ME: decided to see what was on the other side of the fair. After four minutes of walking, they reached a stand. You had to pull the lever to win a prize. I grinned at Rachel. “Wanna have a go?” We hurried over to the stand, and see what prize we got!

PARTNER #2 The prize was a baby hippopotamus and a lifetime supply of Doritos! “I just have to have a go at this, so my friends can hear my hippopotamus ROOAAR in the playground at school!” said… uuhhh… Let’s call her Brucella. She stepped up to the stand and, with the help of a bucket of dark red jelly and an inflatable ostrich, she did what was needed to be done to get that prize!

It was all very exciting until the helper climbed up onto the roof of the stand and pushed their prize down on top of them without warning. The bags of Doritos covered them up so much that they couldn’t see anything. Then the hippo landed on top of them – squashing them and the bags of Doritos!!

The popping sounds by the bursting of the Dorito bags startled the hippo to such a fright that he bounced off into the distance like a kangaroo, crashing through other stands and crowds of people on his way out, while barking like a giraffe! What chaos!! The girls slowly picked themselves up from the ground and dusted off their clothes, when the man standing on the roof of the stand said “Sorry about that! The boss said you were on the other side of the stand.”

PARTNER #1 Brucella said “I was actually on the OTHER other side of the stand, near the hotdog and pie stand. I was in my element there! I ate and ate and ate until I felt I was going to have a heart attack.” Jenny and Penny just shook their heads at her, saying she needed to go on the Trim Healthy Mama way of eating. Brucella agreed, they linked arms and went to watch the soccer together, three happy friends!

XD We’re going to do lots of other partner stories too, so if you enjoyed this, you might want to keep in touch. 🙂

Do you want to try it out for yourself? It’s pretty fun! 🙂

Let’s Start Again: About Me

It has been awhile since we wrote here, so I thought I’d like to do another ‘about me’. The last ‘about me’ I wrote was two years ago; (which was apparently never published, I think :P) that’s awhile ago, so I should introduce myself once again. 🙂

Hi there!

My name is Zielle. You can call me KreativeKana, Zielle, or U.K.S; whatever suits you. 🙂 I’m twelve years old.

I’m the sixth of seven children, and I’m proud to say, I’m a homeschooler. 😀 I don’t quite remember the very first story I wrote, but one story I wrote long time ago when I was seven, about this baby elephant named Sancho and a little boy who met each-other. It worked out very well because they both had lost their parents. It’s quite sweet. 🙂

I wrote a lot of short stories, and you should see all my notebooks! XD I have started around ten novels. I really need to finish them. Currently, I’m working on a book filled with writing prompts for a young aspiring writer, and I hope I get it published soon!

I also like to write poems, and if you head over here, you can see a poem I wrote this morning when I went outside. I like writing poems especially about nature.

I love writing blog posts, and playing the piano. I hope to become a teacher, pianist and author when I get older.

My favorite author is Enid Blyton. 🙂 My favorite genres are fantasy, fiction, non-fiction, mystery, and I love to read fables, fairytales and folktales.

Most importantly, I want you all to know that God loves you very very much, and He always will! ❤ You are special to him.

Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day.

Happy reading and writing!
